Session 9 – Mike MacIntosh

  • VV. 10-12 is in contrast to prev. verses in ch .4 of 2 Tim
  • There are no "senior pastors" - only undershepherds
  • We are to stand with those who trip, stumble, & fall, & love them back to where they need to be.
  • In your suffering, you find out who your friends really are.
  • Blessed are those who are led by the Spirit.
  • When God's men stand up like men & boldly face the pain, the persecution, and still love God & the people.
  • It's an honor to serve the Lord.
  • ''The Lord brought him in, and the Lord will take Him out."
  • Who would want to sign up for the qualifications that Paul lists in v.4?
  • Everything Paul talked about earlier in the chapter is an antithesis of what we are supposed to be as ministers.
  • ''Friendly fire'' is a real danger in the Body of Christ.
  • As the pain & suffering comes, be prepared to love & comfort the people.
  • The pit prepared Joseph for the palace.
